A farrier is a blacksmith who specializes in the management, care, and protection of horses' hooves. The tradition of protecting horses' hooves dates back to the earliest relationship between human beings and horses, but the nailed on shoe probably dates to sixth or seventh century Europe. Some of our horses wear four shoes, some wear only two, and some are "barefoot."
Even a shoeless horse must have regular hoof care from a qualified farrier. Our farriers are critical to our commitment to the health and well-being of our horses.
Become a member of the Sexy Farrier Butt Fan Club, a Facebook page dedicated to farriers.
A portion of the proceeds from calendar sales will be contributed to Care for the Horses, a non-profit,
501(c)3, horse rescue dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of horses.
Check out Lefty's Stable. It's a horse classified site with links to everything you would ever need for your horse. You can also post your own classified ad for free or for very reasonable prices.
Swingin' SaddleBabes is a partnership of western women who love horses and everything associated with them.
Our mission is twofold: to honor the tradition of the cowboy farrier and to promote proper care and well-being of horses through the support of facilities that rescue abused and abandoned horses.
The idea for the Hunks & Horses Calendar sprang from hours spent watching dedicated farriers. Our admiration and appreciation for these tireless workers who keep our horses' hooves in proper shape has no bounds. Shoeing horses is not an easy task, and our farriers never let us down.
Please contact us anytime! We look forward to hearing from you.
